I was standing two feet away from Cal Ripkin to tell him what a wonderful job his daughter did in a theater class with my daughter but he blew me off!!!! Edwin Mulitalo is a member of my church and I got to hear him speak at church and give his testimony. Then after the talk we all got to shake hands with him and chat. Don LaFontaine was a great friend and mentor to my daughter through the telephone, post and email. My daughter respected him a lot and wants to be a Voice Actress so when she became very ill and depressed I contacted him to help. That was about two years ago. He has called her on the telephone, mailed her stuff and written her some very personal letters. He was truly a very special man. He had great concern for Elsie and cared as if she was a daughter of his! |
