Which era would you choose to live in, if you could?

I would love to go back to the 1940's!  Especially in England.  I know the time were very very hard and sad but I love the patriotism and the strong attitude they had then.  I admire it very much.  I really love WWII history also.

How about you?

The 1950's Krissy. I love the music - I used to go to 50's discos when I was in my teens (there was a Rock and Roll revival in the 1980's).

Saying that I was brought up in the 70's and was a youth in the 80's and they were pretty good times too. We have a great television series here called Life on Mars where a detective has a car accident and wakes up in the 70's - I really enjoyed it!

1467 Mick? Intriguing...why?

Krissy, I have to agree with you.  I have romantic notions about the 1940's. I loved the way the women dressed and the seeming innocence of the times. That's an oxymoron isn't it? LOL! But you know what I mean.Smile

I love to watch the old black and white movies from those times like Mrs. Miniver!

Stephanie...The 50's are cool too!!!  Great music like you said!  I was a kid in the 70's too.  My mom would make us do the Hustle!  To this day disco make me cringe!!

Diana....I love the movies too!!  I am always watching the old ones. I just watch Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House!!  Very funny!

It was the battle of Molinella. Now don’t tell me you dident know that !!!

Also that year Mary of york daughter of King Edward IV of England was born, now how could I allow that to pass, what a celibration that would have been. Pope Paul II tortured some of the abbreviators among them Filip Callimachus, he had a standard that needed keeping I guess.

 A year to remember indeed

1900 for me, I would like to see what my home town was like back then.  There wasn't much of it, just farm land, but the the Iron Ore industry took off and started building houses etc, and people from all over the country came to work here.

For Sarah and I it would have to be the swingin 60's, purely for the great music and fashion of that era. I can picture it now, screaming down to Brighton on a souped up lambretta with Sarah holding tight on the back, wind in my face. My green fishtail parker coat flappin in the wind and annoying the hell out of Sarah as she screams something in my ear about her expensive beehive being messed up. Ahh i bet those were the days. Smile
