I on the other hand have a perfect ear, which can sometimes be detrimental as I can hear even the slightest mistake.

The use of Jerusalem is metaphorical, Denzil.

Jerusalem/Holy Land and England/Holy land.

Clear as the Mississippi, right     ?

Metaphorical, big word of the day.

I agree with you here. Jerusalem or I Vow to thee my Country.

I'm in two minds about I Vow To Thee My Country. I do not like the part that talks of  'laying on the altar'. I think all wars are disgusting. But I like the last part about 'another land.....and all her ways are peace'

The first verse is definitely the best. But many lay themselves on the alter as a sacrifice for theirs and others freedoms.

Laying on the alter? I thought that was part of a Satanic rite. Or have I got that wrong?

Can't carry a tune in a bucket as my mother would have said, but I have a natural knack for interior decorating and upon seeing my apartment many have asked me to help them in decorating their homes.

Hillbilly Chic is a nice familiar style, but I think adding a splash of Hillbilly Contemporary Modern to a room, adds a certain je n'ais ce quoi to the overall ambience of the home, wouldn't you say?
