Its a bit like an overgrown cucumber, green with lighter green speckles. I dont like it myself, but you can make a great marrow rum from it. Cut the end off, hollow out the centre and fill it with brown sugar. Hang it up inside an old stocking in a warm place for a couple of weeks with a bucket underneath. It slowly ferments inside and drips through into the bucket. Let it clear and you have marrow rum. |
