I've had a beautiful tea this afternoon. Shepherds pie, just lovely it was too and lemon meringue pie for a sweet. Now I'm about to have a teensy weensy bicardi and lemonade (plenty of ice) whilst I'm logged on. I don't usually drink bicardi but a customer gave me FOUR bottles for my trouble. That's a good tip!!

Hi Diana, we don't send emails to each other half as much as before you got hooked up with POE do we? You little devil you, trying to grab us all with the pic of your schooldays! Oh, and by the way, I could find a marrow for you anyday of the week, long, thick but sadly green! (But fresh).

Hi Ron, it so good to have you back! Laughing You are on the mend I trust, as is Anna?  My love to you both. Kiss

Nice of you Ron, about the marrow that is, but I still don't know what it is. LOL! Although I am beginning to think it's some kind of vegetable?

It's true, it's been a long time since we have corresponded via personal email, but you are always on my mind.  Miss me? LOL!

Oh Diana, the lamb chops were real nice. Sorry there is none left.

Yes a marrow is a vegetable. Its a bit like an overgrown cucumber, green with lighter green speckles. I dont like it myself, but you can make a great marrow rum from it. Cut the end off, hollow out the centre and fill it with brown sugar. Hang it up inside an old stocking in a warm place for a couple of weeks with a bucket underneath. It slowly ferments inside and drips through into the bucket. Let it clear and you have marrow rum.

I just LOVE that! Home made of course, not that nasty frozen stuff by Aunt Bessie, far too sweet, it has to be a really sharpe lemony flavour...yummmmyyyyyyyy
