I found a painting by Elizabeth Pena that I loved. Wanted to buy it but it was over $2,000.00. Tongue out

As long as you like it that is what counts. I loved that painting. It was of an arch over a walkway with flowers covering the arch. Was gorgeous!

I like many artists, for each one is special, from Michangelo, to Rembrandt to Piccaso, to even the newest Native American Artists, and the new budding artist..I know they finally got in the Library prints "exchange" program downtown for renting these print reproductions by the month, but don't know if it's made its way to the branch Libraries as of yet. I was at one time an charter member for the Washington D. C. National Women of the Arts Institute..but haven't' kept my yearly membership up...should of joined one of the regional branches and I'd still most likely be with it. So goes "kid's and motherhood" as they say..keep you busy and last in everything also. I like all expressions of Art..take out the need in the world for money and most people are genius in some kind of expression...be it literary, musical, or crafts.

I love Susan's stuff too.  She's great!  More talented than I think she realizes.  In fact, I have a couple of hers in my computer.  Wink

My favourite artists are Thomas Kincade (the painter of light) and David Dane (another watercolourist ). Their use of colour and atmosphere is fantastic.

I love the work of Constable and have been to Suffolk quite a few times to see the places he painted which actually haven’t changed that much over the years. Also Joseph Farquharson, he is most famous for his fabulous winter landscapes, I have two of his pictures which I just get lost in. Charles Thornley is another favourite artist of mine, his seascapes are just brilliant.
