LOL! That was a surprise! Thank you Wolf, Ruth and Lyn...you are very kind. Wolf, friends forever...you said I was 'young'!

I like quite a few contemporary watercolour artists, Hazel Soan, Charles Reid, and I personally know a superbly talented artist called  Jean Haines. Her star is rising at last.

I love the painting of an arab weaver by Armand Point . I came across it in a art gallery in Bradford one day and was simply awestruck . The painting is simply astounding in its beauty and the detail is incredible . You can see it here.....

Ooo, yeah, Mick, that's lovely. It reminds me of one of my favorite pieces from an artist named Tissot.  Here it is - it's my favorite Christmas picture - Journey of the Magi.
