Hi Ruth, hi Stephanie, I am intrigued by the water bed thing. Often when my back hurts, a mattress that is too soft hurts it.  I always assumed that a waterbed would have the same effect.  As to memory foam; I tried it out once and hated it. My body felt like dead weight (no comments from the peanut gallery please). LOL!

Isn't it like sleeping on an inflatable at sea??? i bet you can hear the water swishing about everytime you turn!!??  I'd be scared of puncturing it!! waking up on the floor soaking wet!! SmileWink

We have a Select Comfort sleep mattress, so it's filled with air. Hubby got it for his back, and it worked wonders.

I think you would have to try a waterbed out to know if you liked it or not! It does make splashing noises when it gets air in - we have an air remover and you have to roll on the bed to get the air out - great fun!!!! The best thing is no bed bugs - they can't live in it and as you wipe the mattress when you change it it's even more hygenic. Think I should get some commission from the waterbed companies!!!
