I am going through similar right now as well. i have to return to a specialist next week from a test i had 2 weeks ago. when they called me last week, i was so nervous and upset, as this has never happened to me before, however, i finally talked myself into settling down...if it was URGENT, they would have had me in the next day, not 2 weeks away. I am still nervous, but after trying to be realistic...i think, as they have no medical history on me here, they just want to be sure.

We rejoice for those who are in full health and strength, Whose ways are ways of pleasantness and peace. Our hearts reach out toward those whose ways are ways of suffering, of body, mind, or soul. May it be that thou shalt find us reaching out to them Not only with our hearts but with our hands also, To help them in the bearing of their burdens, To help in the lifting of their burdens. |

As everyone has said, more often than not these things turn out not to be cancer. My wife has gone through this unpleasantness twice, and both times she found it very stressful - but the relief when she got the good news was wonderful. Even when the news is not so good, things can turn out fine. We're getting better and better at dealing with the Big C, and there are many thousands of people who have had it but are now 100% OK. You're both in my thoughts. |

Don't let yourself to panic and be optimistic; both your cases sound to me more like an extra safety check from your physicians rather than critical matters. Diana, some of them use to throw the 'C' word around to protect themselves in the first place ! :( A big hug to both. |

It makes you long for the days of the calm and comforting bedside manner. Wolf, that is a lovely prayer/verse. |
