Over here for some reason it's become the Catholic church in an German kind of dinner situation. TheApple Struddel, bratworst, wine, beer and ale time of the year. Dancing to Polka's and what not also. Itis about 300,000 "city folks" will converge at Mt. Angel here soon for this weekend of doings. It is not until "Thanksgiving" we get into the English Puritan times of prayer and feasting.  I was just wondering how you go about the end of the year in England. It's gotten bad over here for the "partying" at  times. I think we have more holidays because of all the different people cultural wise.

Found this for you, Shirley.

Looks like it was produced by schoolkids - but it's full of info and is kind of fun.

Thats a good site you found John, and I personally see in the new year usually asleep Shirley, unless there's something good on TV, which 90% of the time there isn't.
