Keep yourself pleasantly "busy" my dear.(no stess)..then you don't have time to dwell on him, or him you..and your out of each other's hair most the time. Most likely it will also improve your life as well. Go ahead and find an "scream" place. Do you have an designated "scream" place, we all should have one you know... then you walk away and let things "go" to pass. Maybe screaning into an soft pillow would help..then, move on as they say. You know you can't change him, ..so you have to change yourself an bit. Good wishes in doing that. Miracles do happen. Remember the Catholic dictonary says that "adultry" is before anyone steps out on the other, it's when one person's ego transends in an union of two souls...that transcending over another is the "adultry" the creator talks about...the "stepping  out" spiritually. Only the person doing it can change it...some people have "blinders" though in seeing themselves as they really are.

My suggestion is that swift action be employed toward  family therapy, counselling and checking into a transition home where real help & support can be offered and hopefully a change in self esteem issues be addressed. Addiction to drama, and theatre..( the cycle of abuse ) is an underlying reason to stay in negating relationships. This is true for both men and women. Locked in a duel, someone must ( or not )stop playing the game and face life without the facade ~ protective mask of being a helpless victim, delve into the source of pain and grief, do the hard work, confront inner truths and become a fully formed individual in their own right.
