I did a little yesterday, but I'm on vacation from Dec. 17-24, so that's when I'll do most of it.

I don't think there will be a Christmas in our house this year. With being separated it makes everything very awkward! As long as I can do something for Elsie I will be happy!

It is so hard cause I love Christmas and big celebrations. Frown

You need to go somewhere in the city overnight this year lady...some pleasurable place that has bustling people and "singers" and good restruants. Then go see an good Christmas Movie during the evening, no tear jerkers. Something delightful and light-hearted. I use to tell people "Go rock the babies", but I don't know  if they have "volunteer" hospital new-born "rockers" over in your area. There's something about those tiny wee little fingers that reminds you what is "life" is all about...and they can belong to anyone..not just necessarily your own family. You could also pass out some Christmas Candy Canes to passer by's also...everyone you meet come Chriistmas Eve...don't have to be an lot of them, or huge cany canes either, just an simple Merry Christmas will do as you walk down the street passing them out...try your own area you live in first.

Well, I put up my grandson's Christmas tree in hsi "batroom" bedroom, and the stuff in my other two grandkids rooms last yesterday. Finished off the outside lights the night and day beforehand. Started the livingtoom and ran out of energy fo ran bit, time to rest. I'll do th ekitchen next and then work my way from room to room evenually. I looked at all those boxes I've been collectin gfo rnear 30 years now and thought, if I don't have an castle, I could sure use one perhaps..LOL. To help things along they got all the Christmas Ornaments at 70 per cent off right now in some of the stores. Tha tmakes them $1.20 a piece for the more expensive ones. I do this all year around also on the shopping. But I still have two presents to get an done is an dinner gift certificate for the kids and the other is something for my hubby. Mostly likely to go somehwere overnight.Keeping it simple, I have those hopital costs coming up from two weeks ago. My neighbors across the street surprised me with outdoor lights this year. Looks real nice too. The day is what you make of it people, for some just being able to sleep-in/rest is much welcomed.

Thanks again Shirley for your thoughts and kindness. I will think of something to have fun. It is the giving season which is something I like to do anyway.

I heard them say that Dec 9th is ususally( after the first Friday after Thanksgiving,) when most people go shopping. They are giving us the results most scientifically these days, as of Friday, 50 per cent of the purchases were clothing, followed by 40 per cent electronics, and it went on down to 28 per cent "toys" for small kids. they didn't list big ticket items in this result. Stock market really dropped big today...I think these people are "mentally" working themselves over on it all..since when didn't we owe an trillion dollars..I can't think of any time recently...last I heard we haven't paid of the Rev. War in 1776 as of yet.  If one Billionare stood up and said.."Everything's fine" I bet the stock market would gain 600 points for the day. Just because he said so. Our President elect is naming his new administration "the new beginning"...introduced us to his new staff he's picked out today...no one really new to it that hasn't been in their postions for an long time already at some time, but did keep an few of the Bush Administration. He gets to go into office as President with job lay offs in the thousands across the country...then we have this Dec 10 to 12th thingy going on,..prophecy of an global big quake and disaster some where..they are formulating the "wordage" now.  I'm sure you have all heard of the "webbots" on urban-survial web site..they take some of the postings by people in web sites, like maybe 40 billion in an week and pull out the unsual words, with the thinking that it comprises the future form of "global conscious" of people thoughts, or we "make" what we get, by how we are thinking...anyway, they haven't missed on it since before 911, you have to pay to susbscribe to get reports, unless he thinks there's somthing of importance for all of us, and then they list details on it, this quake, or "twin quakes" is one of them suppsoedly. They pick up the random words and then have to pick up some kind of an message from it, and that's the hard part, the humans have to dechiper that part, but what they have so far is that somewhere globbally, where "veggies are grown", there will be two huge quakes, that will break down the infrastructure of the area for some years, and cause the world to go together to deliver food supplies and rescue operations. Somewhere near some "dancing mountains" also. You can go to his web site and pick up what he's got so far on this, and he said he'd try to post before that date if they come up with any better details on it...so people can prepare. He's thinking West coast of America perhaps,Hawaii, Japan,  China or in the area thereof, or South America/Mexico...basically the world's "ring of fire" area. So that is somehting in the back of my mind also..am I prepared?....though our area doesn't really grow "veggies" that I can think of any more. I think he's thinking in the San Franscisco area, to Los Angelas though perhaps, but maybe they will come up with better details. If not earthquakes, could be "shocking" news perhaps also. Not to many days away from now. Lets' see, on "coasttocoast"last night we were told that the North Pole has went to far, it can't return back to what it was like prior, expect it in the years to come to be completely melted eventually.Leaving "waters" open of needed security...anyone wan tto join the Navy?  I think this Christmas should be anything but mudane in ways if all this is going on. It's kind of hard telling what to do also, for fear of lay-off's and job security as well. I think at times maybe what I should be buying is an backyard greenhouse, but they don't sell this this time of the year...let alone the seeds..and the idea of "veggies"and big quake is unsettling also. Oh well, back to decorating another room for Christmas. Anyone got any favorite poems about Christmas worth repeating?..besides the ussual ones that have been around for ages...little quips or words?
