Here's a pic of a butterfly bun Krissy!  Lol!!  They are just cupcakes with the tops cut out, then you fill the hollow with jam and cream then the bit you cut out of the top is cut in half and pushed in to the cream to look like wings...  They are yummy, I like to make chocolate ones too!!  Laughing

We called them butterfly cakes or fairy cakes.

Mine have got butter cream and cherry jam in them!!  Yum!!!!

I call them butterfly cakes as well, and use butter icing not cream and jam. Then sprinkle them with a dusting of icing sugar
