You can't go wrong with mine Diana. You can vary the flavour too, by  using brown bread and tomato sauce. If you want a really fiery version, use Tabasco sauce, but stand well clear after consumption.

Ray I have an receipe for "hell fire and damnation" hot sauce, sounds a lot like your reciepe in ways...smiles*..I think this stuff you use on grilled meat though if I remember rightly.

I never heard of Bread Sauce.  I thought Roses was talking about kind of a dipping sauce for bread.  What do you do with bread sauce?  What is it a sauce for?

Does anybody have a recipe for an authentic English plum pudding?  I have a recipe that we love, but I believe it's far from authentic.
