I don't like to sound ungrateful but when I was little I always got the joint present. "This is for your brithday and Christmas". It always bugged me, especially when my brother got presents for his birthday in August and presents at Christmas.

Ah, I guess you just don't see the big picture when your little.

I think that is a fair reaction, Sue. After all, your birthday is a day that we celebrate your incarnation into this world. It's your day and it shouldn't be lumped in with other celebrations. I feel that it's important to validate a person by celebrating his or her birth.
