I am off on new years eve, but have to work new years day. my DH says we must exit the back door (i think with a lump of coal?) and re enter through the front door. |

We will have a bottle of fizzy and a kiss but that's about the extent of it for us. |

I've never been one to stay up and greet the New Year. It's usually too cold for me to be out on first night, and I can't stand the crowds. Besides, I figure I'll see it soon enough (the new year that is)!

The tradition is, make a new years resolution to stop smoking or whatever, and foret it new years day. My resolution is not to make any more new years resolutions. That way I wot break them. He he he. |

Last year our two lots of neighbours from the corner knocked the door and we all stood out in the street and had a real good laugh! I think this year we will be going to bed early though because we are off to Cleeve Hill New Year's Day to see our friends. |

My guess, maybe 5 very early in the evening; by 9 onwards, probably none. New Years Day normally go to Winchester to watch the old King Alfred Buses running routes they did over half a century ago. Then, pop over to the Cathedral for a look around. |
