I saw a small flock of birds flying well out to sea near the mouth of the River Tyne. I took a couple of shots with my new long lens, a pressy from Lilian. They were too far out to identify with the naked eye, but when i put them onto the computer and enlarged the pictures, the birds look a lot like 'Sanderlings'. If they are, then they are a new bird for me. I posted posted the best shot a short time ago and would like any confirmation. The birds were a long way out thus the poor picture, sorry. Roy J. |

Today, just tons of mourning doves and the typical urban birds, pigeons and grackles mostly. |
