Among the funds eliminated entirely: 1. $55 million for historic preservation 3. $10 million state and local law enforcement 4. $90 million for State and Private Wildlife Fire Management 5. $5.8 billion for Health Prevention Activity I just find it ironic that the first things to be eliminated and considered unimportant are nutrition, health, public safety, care for our natural habitat, and preservation of our history. |

We must do what we can, when we can and trust that the (more caring) spirit of man will prevail. Perhaps those who are actively involved in the various areas can start petitions? Just one idea that might help. Mean-while, I don't think our president is going to give up. I think he will fight the good fight to the last. |

I guess time will only tell as what was cut for whom...and if it was an worthy move or not, in the meantime heard about the border guy having 16 illegal Mexcian immigrants suing him for 32 million dollars because at gun point he told them that they'd get shot if they crossed his land, this was after they'd killed his cattle to eat, broken into his home, robbed him of anything they needed around his house..they took no time at all killing some dude from Oregon down there, saying he was into drugs and his girlfriend said they conviscated $3,000 of cash he was carrying on him also..this is the police...and she never saw ti afterwards either. Not to many up here said to much if he was down there with "drugs" but we wish they'd stay home just the same with their drugs they do have...as "illegals" they don't have "rights" do they in this country?..especally if they were "trespassing" to begin with. Not much resepct shown for "americans"...the legal kind anyway. |
