Or just an odd tidbit of information that makes you go "hmmmm...." I felt I learned a lot today. Anyone care to list what they learned today? Today I learned: Humility. Most times your friends are right and I need to shut my mouth and listen to them instead of listening to me!! I also learned to not judge so harshly. I also learned to get over myself and realize other people may be hurting too. |

She was in a wheelchair, couldn't speak properly, had difficulty using her arms. I helped her get some things from the chiller, she was so gratefull. She gets about on her own. It appears like nothing stops her getting out and about and living her life. And what do I do? I moan! Moan that my legs and my butt are too fat! Forever on a diet, I wont even go swimming because I think I look so bad! I bet this lady would give anything to be able to walk and go swimming! I felt ashamed of myself! Yes, humility! It doesn't hurt to feel it now and again. |

He is also unable to talk properly and has terrible co-ordination. Walking is difficult as is carring things. I cried the first day I met him, but I have got used to him now. Watching some of the other children clambering to help him makes my eyes water. They restore my faith in human nature. It puts everything into perspective doesn't it? I realise my troubles are tiny in comparison. |
