I'm learning about Modbury, England today...I have an WilliamSherill that got himself immigrated to America in 1686..he had been an weaver...the English civil war had two battles there in 1642 and the Black Death took an lot of the population down back then also..many left the area in general. The unencylopedia which has dry "humor" to it's facts was delightful to read..crazy as it was.. Says the town went into raising sheep (wool production) and was down to 6 before they figured out mathamatics and how to re-populate. They had an 1211 (year) UFO sighting. It's name means "meeting place" it was an village of trading and an judicial center. Anyone else know anything about it?...it's in Devon county.

..Today..that the reason my youngest grandson looks like an racoon with an light bruise band across his nose is because he ran into an chair last Saturday , he spent some time this morning telling me all about it, when I said.."What happened to your nose kiddo!!!  took me an showed me right where he ran into it and how he did it. He's usually at his babysitter's before I get up in the morning, and in bed most the time before I get the time to sit down at night to notice him looking different....though we ussually turn down the lights early at night to get them headed to bed also. We shared an dish of ice cream.

I learned that actions really do speak louder than words. Despite what someone says, if their behavior is causing you to question yourself or to feel badly about yourself, then it's time to cut your losses and move on.  No matter how painful that might be. No amount of "wishing" something would be different, or "hoping" that someone will change is going to work. If it makes you feel badly about yourself, whether it's a relationship, a job, or a thing, let it go.

I learned to trust my gut instincts...they're usually right. Also, don't let others, no matter how well meaning, cause me to question a decision once I have made it. That usually results in self doubt and worse decisions! LOL!

I also learned what great and supportive friends I have here on POE. Smile
