My son's first laser treatment on Monday cost us $1,768.04. Not covered by insurance, and that was scary.

Finding my yearling baby daughter who had been asleep,( 1974) in convulsions from a fever...I rushed her to the sink and ran cool water over her to bring her temp down FAST... in a minute or so she was screeching with rage & indignation and ok...

That must have been frightening, Anna.  I remember when my youngest brother was only two, he was sleeping on the couch and woke up screaming.  He didn't recognize anyone and was terrified! He kept running from us and when we finally caught him he was on fire with fever. My mother grabbed ice and a cloth while my step father drove them to the emergency room.  He was okay in the end but it was frightening to see him that way!

I was 6 years old and my mother had put my younger siblings and I out in the yard and told me to watch them.  Well, I was 6 years old and as little ones do, I got caught up in my own games and forgot about my sister who was only 2 at the time.

I am playing along with my brother when we both look up to see a strange car pull into the drive. A couple gets out and they have my sister with them. Apparently she had wandered down the road and they saw her and stopped to pick her up. Because we were the only house in the immediate area they assumed she belonged with us. When I saw them get out of that car with my sister I was scared for what might have happened to her and also because I knew I was in trouble! LOL!!!
