Most of your seratonin is madein your gut! so the type of food/drink you consume has a dramatic effect on mood, hence everybody i seem to meet is on some form of anti depressant!! is this all due to bad diet!!???   maybe!!  we really do need to break the circle or as a race we will become obese, depressed and suffer from heart disease and strokes!! and think how much that will cost us all via NHS!!  the NHS will collapse! as it is near to at the moment! it'll only take a small push.

It's so true Jason (as I stuff another donut down my face...lol)! And in America the number of grade school children who are obese and/or on antidepressants is alarming!

I think because no one wants to make the effort!! And the good foods are sometimes hard to come by or are really expensive!! Seems to be "if there is a problem stuff it with something"  food, drinking...and so on.

I do agree with what you say about the papers sensationalizing things, but Jason's post says it all really. Friday night and saturday night are a nightmare for the police and ambulance services here. Even the fire crews get attacked! The very people who work to help the public!

There has to be some disipline installed. How, I really don't know!

Debbie, drinking age here is 18 in pubs and clubs. You also have to be 18 to purchase alcohol from off liciences and supermarkets etc. It doesn't stop older kids buying it for the younger ones though. They drink it in the streets and the results are horrendous. The violence amongst the younger generation is awful. Just two days ago a lad of 13 was arrested on suspicion of murder. I think I am at saturation point now, I'm not surprised at anything anymore. Frown
