As for the ones who don't, it's probably not any more of a problem in Britain than anywhere else. We have our share of lushes over here too.

Yes, how you tell the kids not to drink, when their parents, and everyone one they know is an "lush". |

'They love to sit on the sofa and watch TV food shows. But in reality the recipe for dinner is more likely to be something like this: open freezer, take out package, bung in microwave, ping, eat.'
It make us ALL sound like that. I cook proper meals and I insist on sitting down to a table wich is nicely laid! Maye it's just me and I'm boring, old and stuffy! |

Even TV news programmes. They are ALL published with one thing in mind and thats to make you continue reading/watching them. They are usualy written or edited my some jumped up ex graduate out to make a storey (better off reading a book, at least you know its fantasy), out of nothing. A while ago I brought a storey to a local Newspapers attention, they came and interveiwed me and the printed artical was 95% of what they made up thenselves. Take all of what you read/watch with a very large pinch of salt! lol |

There are so many lovely things to see in the UK, loads of lovely people to meet and the evidence is here in POE! **Just watch out for irate golfplayers........ |

Babs, only the ignorant who don't know or care about your lovely country and the beautiful souls who live there would think that. |

It causes a lot of the violence i have to go to. The junk food diet also seems to be true!! obviously this has HUGE health implications, and again, we end up going to visit these people due to problems caused by bad diet etc... bad lifestyle!! a lot seems to be lack of education, i mean, i like to have a drink, and occasionally i eat junk food, but on the whole i try not to. A lot of these people live on nothing but chips, crisps and chocolate, oh and beer or wine or both!! and whether they know its bad or not, they don't seem to care!!! there is also a lot of chronic alcoholics, that live tucked away and just drink themselves to death, they shun any help when offered and to be honest, can't be forced to accept help! Most of your seratonin is madein your gut! so the type of food/drink you consume has a dramatic effect on mood, hence everybody i seem to meet is on some form of anti depressant!! is this all due to bad diet!!??? maybe!! we really do need to break the circle or as a race we will become obese, depressed and suffer from heart disease and strokes!! and think how much that will cost us all via NHS!! the NHS will collapse! as it is near to at the moment! it'll only take a small push. |
