they wont let you fly if they think youve had one to many, same going onto sports-stadiums. Driving and drink is a no-no! dont let anyone tell you you can drink xxx amount of units and drive You may be lucky and get away with it or you may be spending a long time in jail. 18 is the age you can purchase alcohol but responsable supermarkets will ask for ID if you look under 21. the bartender can refuse to serve you if he thinks youve had to many, and you can also be refused entry into pubs/clubs if the doorman thinks you are going to be a 'problem'. the 'nicest places to drink are country pubs or your hotel bar, innercity pubs can be trendy wine-bars or rough and ready street corners pubs, take care!!
