Krissy, the closet I came to the Jersey Shore over here was the year of the Bi-Centennial fireworks some 20 years ago or so....though were were staying in the Colonial Williamsburg area also, it was the fourth of July. We were gone that year from coast to coast and up in Canada for the World's Expos...with Scout Camp, we were home one or two weeks from the time school got out for summer to the time it started in Sept.

As to Lakes, my hubby's family lives an "hoot an hollar" from the "Lake of the Ozarks" in Missoui, they had or still do possibly an houseboat for the Lake also...I don't know where it went to after he passed on from his heart problem, but most likely his son has it by now.

Nice pictures Ruth.... Lake Powell is known for their huge rental houseboats also.
