Was talking to a friend of mine last night and we were discussing at one point, what did you do as a kid...what games did you play...what did you do outside?  I really want to make an effort to PLAY again, to take my kids outside and just let them be crazy kids!!! Turn off the TV, turn off the computer, turn off the Ipod and go play!!

I remember....

Jump rope

Tag

Lemon Twist

Sidewalk chalk

Lawn darts

How about you? What did you do as a kid?

Blew things up, burned things, smoked cigarettes, drank a beer when we could sneak one, drove old cars on the old quarry roads, all sorts of fun stuff.

LOL@ Bob!

I played with my friends in the street mostly. Games such as May I? What's the time Mr Wolf, hide and seek and tick etc. I had a period of playing with Barbie dolls (yucky) and I really adored playing Chess, Twister, Cluedo and other board games. We played ball, we watched some t.v. and often went to the park to climb and play on the swings.

They were such fun carefree days.........sigh......

Hi Babs!!! I would love to learn how to play chess. My brother taught me years ago, but I have forgotten!!  Twister was really fun too!!!  think I'll have to get that!!!

I remember we used to invent games...like tennis baseball...much safer!! We played baseball one day and I was the pitcher and I got a beeline hit right to the head!! Knocked me down!!  I guess that explains a lot now!!! LOL!!

When I was a kid I loved riding my bike. We used to love Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars. My brother and I would build roads in the dirt and play for hours. My mom used to play games with us. Like Parcheesi, Aggravation, Canasta, Bingo. We also loved to play badminton. Squirting each other with the hose and water guns was always fun too. Even more fun when my dad would join us.
