I have driven a motorcyle years ago but my husband had a bad crash on one and broke his collar bone and cracked his clavicle and broke 6 ribs and punctured lung and his back was full of rocks and gravel that had to be picked out so to say the least we have not been on one since. |

Second item, was when we were leaving, we turned down an street lined with cars on each side, and was half way down it when an black car (new, no liscene plates as of yet) at the end started truning our way, well it stopped..realizing that there was only room for one car down the lane, and they backed up and .went out of the area, with us turning to follow them to get to the road we needed to, on the way, they passed an young man and lady on the sidewalk, we had just had an bit of an shower going over and it left puddles in the street, as they went by.. up flies this water and just soaked him down his pant leg, he stopped for an minute to brush it off but still soaking wet.. and I wondered how come those people didn't have the decency to come back and say they were sorry, as he was up on the sidewalk. They just kept going. I thought they were out of place also. So to me there were not good "vibes" in the area perhaps...but it never fails for me to go there an not have an extra-ordinary expierence...the church has colored stations of the cross all around it in stained glass windows..and I thought the whole church seemed illuminated being in it then, was really quite beatuiful and afterward got to thinking, there wasn't any sun out, it had been raining all morning long, and an squall had just passed over, so why was the church so illuminated? From what also, couldn't of been from outside.either....and yeet was. Strange when I think back on it. I felt just like I was being held by someone's prescence while in there. My son doesn't do motorcycles, but he does ATv's..which I guess are an little safer in ways. Now that gasoline is edging up higher, your starting to see more motorcycles on the roads all the time. From that 26 biker pile-up my son was re-routed to drive through Mt. Angel, with an pilot car in front of him and one in the back, he was driving an 149,000 pound (74.5 tons) loader and crane through town there, we were near the freeway here, waiting on an ramp at an light when he came up it, and tooted at us with this load, it was one of the most largest, longest loads I've seen him driving as yet....he turned in front of us at an angle and took the length off all five traffic lanes to do this...or basically the whole road....everyone gave him the right of way, no hassels there. Said he had picked it up over by the coast on highway 6..must be doing bridge work of some kind over there. He also took an picture of iit with his camera on his cell phone. said it was one of several over there...I told my husband later on, every little boy's dream, to drive that huge piece of machinery someday I think....well, he did it I think. I got the chance to do my ususal, besdes the church there, and picked up somehting from the Senior Citizens center there, craftwork, and then went to this shop keeps sending me the post cards, it was real nice,,,and picked up something there also, none of it for me, but Chirstmas gifts to send my friend in North Carolina, had some fresh veggies and bread cubes with Fondo before we left. Kind of wanted to go on an horse/carriage ride but didnt' get the chance...maybe another time. Stayed up until 2 am again last night working on this project fo rPOE. I hope to get things sent to everyone before the Holiday this year and they are coming quickly now. I'd like to make some paper mache oranaments , glue bright and gaily colored fabric over them, but don't know if I have the time. |

I have found the people who drive them to be among the most inconsiderate drivers I have ever come across (at least in my part of the country). They weave in and out of traffic and come up on you when you least expect it. They try to "beat" cars past red lights and have been the cause of many accidents as a result. From what I have observed, they seem to think that the laws of the road don't apply to them because they are on two wheels and not four. |

Too cocky and stupid!!! Sadly my good friend lost his leg in an accident! My stepdad and mom have toured all over the country and Canada on a touring bike! Never had an accident...but you see...it's the mature driver who is the more careful driver. |

I know its not all bikers, there are some very good considerate riders out there, but theres a hell of a lot of stupid ones too!! always blame the car, even though they're doing 150 down a country lane!! constantly sitting on your bumper, trying to squeeze into tiny gaps, but if you don't give them lots of room they moan!! |

As sports bikes (crutch rockets) generally have far greater acceleration and top speed than a lot of cars, unless you go into the higher price range, they are a much cheaper option for the "4 wheeled" driver to get his kicks, trouble is they don't know how vunerable they are on 2 wheels until it's to late !! Regards.
