One thing I learned while riding bikes was, Keep one eye on the car/bike in front of you and the other half a mile ahead. That is where the problem usually starts. Oh, and dont forget to look over your shoulder or fit a rear view mirror. Changed my avatar to when I was a biker about 38 years ago. What you cant see is, my hair in a pony tail that hung down to my waist. I loved that hair. It used to slap my ex wife round the face as we hared it down the road. Say I wear an pony tail, I never thought of slapping anyone around with it while going down the street.I should go to an wig shop and get an longer one I suppose. I'm hearing snow in Colorado tonight....up high in the hills though. Saying gardens for this year should be gone by tomarrow, it's down to 33 degrees there tonight also. They didn't forcast it in the Farmer's Almanac! |

There are a lot of peple who take chances, but I've seen a lot of idiots in cars cutting bikes off and stuff like that. I'm not real crazy about them though. What you mentioned about the skimpy clothes that people wear on bikes, Jason, you have to wonder about their sanity. I guess that's what put me off bikes, when the safety instructors tell you to "dress for the crash," lol. And I know there's a huge mystique around Harley Davidsons, but I find them obnoxious. Our neighbor had one and if his friends came over and they were all outside with their bikes running, you couldn't carry on a conversation in the house because they were SO loud.
