Hi Diana, have a good weekend with MG, how is she? Hope you passed on our best wishes.

No, Ron. There ended up being an airline strike and poor Maria got stranded at the airport. She never made it out. However, at last contact the airlines were negotiating new flights at their expense and hopefully she'll be able to come next week instead.

I feel sorry for those people stranded at airports and bus terminals and what not, sleeping on chairs, and the floor, waiting to get flights out and transporation...and your correct, most of it they are required to pay out of their own pockets for anything diffferent. One reason it's wise to have an motel card where you stay two days and get one night for free, to use in such emergency situations if possible. Most moderate rooms are now $100 an night for many places. As long as we have to support the airline indsutry all the time anyway, it would be nice if they could arrange free shuttles to the next major airport avaialble, in our case. most likely Seattle. Even though they never pay for this stuff due to Government help, it would still be an huge tax deduction for them and greatly improve thier rapport with their customers...particularly those with small kids.
