If it is any comfort, Diana, you are in very good company . . . so glad the recession is over! |

I am truly blessed. Thank you all! :-) Several friends on other threads have asked for an update on my situation; so here goes: Things are moving along as well as can be expected. Barring anything unforeseen I will be able to make my first unemployment claim next Friday and I will receive my first unemployment check 7 weeks after that. In the meantime I have applied for food assistance and am waiting on the the department of "Transient Assistance" for their decision. The job search is on and I am ever hopeful that something will turn up. I am also hoping to qualify for assistance to go back to school once my unemployment benefits have kicked in. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
