I think it's just "political correctness" gone too far...again. My point about Hanukkah or Ramadan was that the government wouldn't dare do that to those religious communities. They'd have law suits left and right if they did! Case in point, in the US it's not acceptable for a teacher to put up a nativity scene in her class room but the teacher in the next class room is allowed to put up a menorah.
