I'm guessing that's your post above, Shirley.

I like my Christmas decorations. I hang greens & Red streamers from the ceiling, with balloons in the corners and centre of the room.

I love Father Christmas , the old fashioned one, so I have cute little things around   .

We don't have room for a normal sized tree any more, but have a cut  e little one

I love coloured lights. I like to take my glasses off and it makes the lights twinkle so wonderfully (something positive about bad eyesight)    .

Oh, and I love Christmas cards with English Robins.

I love Christmas!

Kahu, that sounds delightful!

It is nice to see them in full bloom along the beaches ...... they are a large coastal tree with dark green foliage, crimson and gold flowers, and masses of aerial roots. There's a few pictures of the Pohutukawa in my backyard. I've been growing orchids for a number of years ... we have a perfect climate for cymbidiums and dendrobiums grown outdoors all year round.

P/w is case sensitive .... CymbidiumOrchids

Kowhai flowers as per your avatar Kahu, do they play any part in Christmas?

Kowhai generally flower before Christmas time when Pohutukawa and Rata flower. Kowhai are more of a national symbol, like the Silver Fern the All Blacks wear, or Kiwi. (I mean the bird, not the Chinese Gooseberry ... Kiwifruit ... marketed as Zespri)
