I don't know the answer to Rod's question, but I couldn't help but mention one of my all time favorite songs. It was done by an English clarinetist, Bernard Stanley Bilk, better known as "Aker" Bilk. Even before the now famous "British Invasion", Bilk hit the top of the American charts, with "Sunset on the Shore". This is one of the all time great melodies. |
