Still trying to work that out Rita!

Where you're middle aged children are concerned (maybe). You only speak when it improves the silence maybe?

So, trying to break that down. You say nothing if it continues to keep the peace, is that it? Sorry I'm lost here Rita.

Sometimes mothers have the ability to say the most by saying 'nothing at all'. Sometimes that's best.

Just a thought.

Rita and Beth, I think that's a trick women have learned in general no matter whom they are talking to.

Truly, the most we can ask of others is for their guidance and comfort on the way---- without imposition, design, or thoughts of reward. This i feel is the hospitality,of relationship: for family to help us manifest who we are in the world, for friends to bring us to theresholds of realness, for loved ones to encrourage us to cross barriers of our own making , into moments of full aliveness. But there are times i need to be silient. I really do. Thanks for understanding.

I think when your middle age children get that old, all parents tend to be more silent then....maybe inwardly is wanted at times for the peace.

Ron, she was correct on the woman...whose name I didn't know how to spell correctly. the woman was quite something else though as an woman. I think someone said she had training along with Hillary Clinton at one time and Barbara Walters one time in politics. I tell you another one also..Mother Teresa....when she paid Washingotn D. C. an visit first thing discussed was an donation, how ever small... for the orphans in India....before anything else was discussed. Only such an woman as her could do such an thing and get away with it I suppose. It was said she use to delight the President with her collections. She would remind them there is never an day gone by that they can't help someone in the world...no matter how little or seemingly insignificant.
