Mrs PRATT, the bullying helpline boss who claimed to have been contacted by Gordon Brown's staff has been trawling her emails for evidence to support her allegations. Signalling she intended to stand by her claims despite attempts by senior Labour figures to discredit her, Christine Pratt has approached the publicist Max Clifford (seen recently with just about every celeb out to make a fast buck), for support. He has offered to give her guidance on the basis that she can back up her assertion that some Downing Street staff had sought advice from the Swindon-based National Bullying Helpline. The developments threaten to keep the row over the Prime Minister's alleged bullying in the headlines. Mrs Pratt faced heavy criticism for breaching the confidentiality of callers to the helpline. She has also come under pressure for appearing to change her story after she admitted two of the calls came from the office of the deputy prime minister - which closed down in 2007 - and that none involved Mr Brown directly. Her office, in the same building and next door to the local Conservative party office has Conservative MP Ann Widdicomb as a chief patron. |

The PM went onto apologise on behalf of past Governments (ALL-PARTY) policy in transporting young children in care to Australia in the 50's and 60's. I then switched to the BBC news at 1pm and listend to the 'drivil' that they portayed had just heppened in the house. I REST MY CASE, if you want to judge which party to support in the next election, watch a rerun of todays Prime Ministers Question Time or the next one at 12 noon next Wednesday. one hour a week well spet IMO. |

There are indeed bullies out there now and then, but I try to give most people an chance to state thier case...much of it is wrong time/wrong place stuff...miscommunication. What was it I was told one time, be careful of the people that are nice to you..cause you already know your enemies...I think it was what they said..been many years ago. |

But you are right, i think a certain amount of 'bullying' goes on in every workplace, worldwide, if not from your boss, certainly from your colleages who think they are. i'm sure our POE members can tell us a few stories that they have seen happen in their workplace. Heres the chance to get it off your chest, kiss and tell, lol but dont mention full names, no parlimenary privilage here i'm afraid lol. |
