Sounds like an ordeal and an half. If people could get more interested in "Nature" they'd take more stock in helping to preserve birds and wildlife here. Sue of all the travel shows, there was only one I ever saw that showed "nature" as they were traveling across country. It was an interesting program also. It wasn' t animals in the local nature preserve or zoo, it was true out in the open "nature" animals in thier everyday habitat. You don't see to many shows like that in the USA.

I have never heard an "English Cuckoo" here, not sure they migrate this far.  But we have three birds referred to as Cuckoo's with totally different "calls".

I saw Skylarks last year when I was over. Haven't seen a Nightingale for ever though.

My understanding CathyML is that the Cuckoo comes to the UK from SA. So now what have you to say?

Well the old Cuckoo hasn't shown his face around here yet, so from past experience we are going to get more rain! Only when there is to be sunshine, sunshine and more sunshine will he appear! Unless you know differently of course?
