I am not a good cook at all, but I've decided that once the girls go back to school I would make a good dinner every night!!! I need all the help I can get!!

Anyone want to swap their favorite recipes??

Any tips?

Hi Krissy!

Are you looking for quick and easy recipes or something a little more challenging?  How much time do you have for preparation and cooking.  Do you buy fresh or frozen foods?  What things do you cook now, so we don't tell you how to cook stuff you know how to do?  What food likes and dislikes do you and the girls have?

Hi Cathy!

Yes, quick and easy and budget friendly!

Prep time...at most 30 mins.

I can buy both but I prefer fresh.

I can cook the basic things. I made meatloaf and mashed potatos last night.

I like anything...the girls...especially Erin are very picky, but that dosen't matter. Wink

This is the easiest, quickest and most delicious meal you'll ever make. I'll bet the girls will love it.

Chicken Pesto

Skinless, boneless chicken breasts (one piece per person)
1 jar of Classico Pesto Sauce

Place chicken in baking dish
Pour pesto mix to cover the chicken

Bake in a well heated oven at 350 degrees for arppox 30-40 minutes. Serve with veggies of choice.

Here is an easy one for you Krissy! Smile

Cheesy Chicken

1 pkg. skinless, boneless chicken breasts

1 can Campbell’s Cheddar Cheese soup

1 8 oz. container sour cream

salt and pepper to taste

1. Turn oven on 350 degrees.

2. Clean the chicken and place on paper towels to absorb excess water.

3. Prepare a baking dish by spraying with Pam or equivalent.

4. Salt and pepper the chicken.

5. Mix the Cheddar Cheese soup with the sour cream. Blend well.

6. Put a couple spoonfuls of the soup/sour cream mixture in the baking dish and spread it around.

7. Place chicken in baking dish.

8. Pour the remaining amount of soup/sour cream mixture onto the top of the chicken. Spread evenly across the top.

9. Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes to an internal temperature of 180 degrees.

Krissy, do use the crock pot?  I used to love fast and easy, chop veggies in the morning, and throw them in on top of a small roast of some sort, and maybe add a packet of some kind of instant soup mix, like Lipton Onion, or whatever spices you fancy.  And of course you can also dump cream of mushroom on just about anything.

A really good one is pork chops simmered in sauerkraut.
