SUCCESS!  all 33 miners are rescued and they are just waiting to bring up the last rescue worker.  (11:20pm, Florida time).

Now this is the most joyous miracle. In the beginning thought to be dead...It is a miracle that all 33 men got out alive.  God Bless them all.

I think it is wonderful that the world watched something really good happening instead of being fixed on the catastrophies.  (Although of course it could have been one without all the effort put in by so many in order to rescue the miners).

I hope that what they discovered in this rescue will mean that many more miners will be rescued in the future when a similar disaster strikes.

Heroes all of them, the miners, rescue workers, designs and manufacturers all united in this one cause.

Wonderful news! To be able to wake up to this news really is fantastic. As our friends across the pond have reported in this thread a 'joyous miracle'.....MISION CUMPLIDA CHILE.

This is great news and a very happy ending! I hope that this spurs the Chilean government to institute reforms that will better ensure safety and more humane working conditions in the mines. One of my first cousins is married to a coal miner in West Virginia who has had a couple of close calls, so mine safety is a bit of a family matter. Bottom line--all miners deserve to work in the safest environment possible, even if that means we all have to pay a bit more for the end products of their labors.
