Well here we go, taking up Ron's challenge again, lol.

I thought it would be great to introduce our beloved pets.  I know some of you have put your fabulous pet photos on POE, which could be added here as well, with a little information about them.

Those of us overseas could use a pic of our pets as an avatar, that way we can all learn a little more about each other!

The avatar photo I'm using of my dogs was taken about four years ago and shows my old minature sausage/maltese mixture dog who was about 16 years old at the time.  He died last year aged 19.  With him is our last dog - (this time the minature sausage mix was right) and she is now 9 years old.  Her name is Julie because we got her in July and it helps to remind me when her birthday is, lol.  She will probably be our last pet now unfortunately.

My avatar photo is our dog Gracie, a miniature poodle and Yorkshire terrier mix--ten pounds of mischief! She has been trained as a therapy dog for my wife's counseling practice (Shirley works mainly with children as a play therapist). Gracie is 5 years old and is about as sweet a dog as anyone could want.

Rob, I can see why she was trained as a therapy dog. Boy has she got personality!

I have three cats now down from six. The first one I put up will be Rascal. He is a very sweet little boy full of curiosity and loves to play. He is a very good climber and loves to be up high.  He is also my watch cat and does not like outdoor cats visiting us. He likes to beg like a dog with front paws up while sitting on his tail! There is not a night that goes by where he doesn't tuck me into bed. He waits until I get settled, gets his last petting and then goes off to play. I am a very lucky Mum! Smile

We don't have pets (Anna has me to do the tricks) Lol but it's interesting to see your pets in the avatar and hear about how much you love them.

A great start to what will become a popular thread, of that I am sure. Well done CathyML and Rob.

oooooooooh right where it hurts--no wonder you have gone off.

up to about 6yrs ago i had a large aviary with approx  10 pair of breeding canaries--border,roller and lizard breeds which i had for about 20yrs unfortunately due to my knee problems i decided to get rid as i was unable to give them 100% attention.                                          i have missed them very much, the good thing is i sold them to a fellow fancier who i used to deal with.

I haven't gone off James!! I'm still fresh, lol

I thought it was a compliment of the highest order, I don't know of anything more tenacious than the British Bulldog!
