It had a 4 gear manual transmission without any air conditioning. I loved that car. I had it for 11 years. It had been in two major accidents but kept going like the energizer bunny!! I finally had to give it up when I got married because the wimp was afraid to ride in it. I really miss that car. There is nothing as good as a manual transmission to drive! |

It was kind of an off white...and we kept it long enough to wear out the floor board in the rear of it...we sold it and the people that bought it weiled an plate over the hole that was forming back there. They were quite happy. So were we...in getting something else and newer. |

I can't remember the year of the car, but I bought it from my parents, and drove it for years. Here it is on our wedding day. http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b217/strangey05/hpqscan0028.jpg |

Cost me £35 which was a month's wages for me back then. Prior to that was a Raleigh moped. Taking my driving test in Hastings, the examiner had asked---What does a Give Way line look like? I replied, Broken lines across the road. He then asked how many lines? I said it depends on how wide the road was. He then asked which Highway Code I'd been studying? |

Sold it 3 months later for £12. lol Paul, thats weird, my next purchase was a simular van to yours, which I bought for a few £'s, i repainted it (still no drivers licence) and 'tided it' up, left it parked on private land over the weeked only to find some louts had broken into it, stolen my radio and smashed it up. I passed my test the following year (1968) and bought a Vauxhall Victor lol. |
