Regardless of whether you agree they are useful in protecting us from the flu bug, the question is why do some people say they hurt, and others say they didn't feel a thing?

I think it depends on who's giving the injection! I had a tetnaus (sp?) shot a couple of months ago...in my arm...and I didn't feel a thing! Thank goodness!

I agree with Krissy, it does seem to depend totally on the person giving the injection!

I have a theory abot the flu vaccine ...lots of people say they make them ill, but the virus in inactive, its just the 'shape' of the flu they think is coming. But surely this is still going to provoke a response from our immune system?  even though it overcomes it easily, it makes us feel like we're coming down with flu?

The last flu injections given over here contained immunization against swine flu because of the World Cup.

As you all know my husband got very ill and eventually ended up with pneumonia.  He started off complaining that he felt like he was coming down with the flu, which got progressively worse!  He wasn't the only one affected adversely either.
