Good Morning Sunshine !  This is wayyyy too early for me to be up but I had a taste for a good cup of coffee, so had to get up LOL....Let the day begin!!

Made plans last night for today's activities...but must have been delirious at the time !!  Today the body feels like it wants to coast along lol...so am going to have to psyche myself up to get motivated here....am in slow gear thus far....what is on YOUR agenda for the day ?

Hi Beth, wow it is early for you!!  Agenda, ha ha, lost a front tooth so dentist is first Cry, then picking up grand daughter from boarding school and delivering to extra maths class, that will take care of my time until about 3.  Have two grand daughters staying overnight.  I think my day was taken over by the aliens, LOL

Hi POElanders,  I hope you have a wonderful Friday and have made great plans for your weekend activities.  Smile

Looks like some mobile phone companies got the jump on the VAT increase to 20%, for usage prior to the increase, on their Dec-Jan bills, VAT is all at 20%.

Good thing we're not in the day's of VAT rates of 8% and 15%; some companies might be struggling to cope with 2 VAT rates at the same time.

As for buying petrol/diesel for your car where you pay tax on the tax.........

I use my mobile so seldom that I should look into this increase you mention and see how it will apply to mine. I dont't have a contract with any company, so will see how that will affect my usage......but I doubt I will be so lucky as to NOT have a VAT increase in some form or another...but thanks for the ' heads up ' on that one, Paul.

Ouch!  That must hurt!  Our Vat is 14% but who knows for how much longer?

I managed to survive the mouth torture chamber and drove home safely!! Next is the taxi run for the grand daughter!  That's about 100km run around.
