I was going to go and get me some more Vitamin C today. Thinking about planting some small green onions indoors also. Can't do it without an car to get to the store though. My book I'm currently reading seems some what of an "dud" to me right now. It's defineately an book you read a little at a time....so all the things he's asking himself in his head before he takes any action doesn't bog you down. Half way read and he's taken some 1/4 deciding what to do. I was cheecking my shingle spots..still have two of them...another is just about gone I do beleive...then I have one more...sure took their own sweet time. I have days of liittle "nervous/allergy" type set backs even now. Days I wake up to 10 mins of sneezing...followed by an allergy tablet. Then I end up sleeping most the morning....with an little luck, maybe in another month. My sister has an cold, as well as the talk host to the radio show I listen to nightly....he took an 3-day weekend off. How old were you in the picture Cathyml? Diana.....half an head of cabbage, 1 1-2 cups of shredded carrots, scant handful of green tips off green onions. 1/4 cup rice vinegar and 2 Tablespoons of oilve oil mixed for the dressing...put ti all together and let set for at least one hour to blend flavors. Called Mexican Coleslaw...it's cholestrol free...and low calorie...you can make it a day ahead. One gal says she likes to variate it with fresh red peppers diced small and one jalapeno pepper. Here in our authentic Mexican Restruant they serve a bit on top of their Spanish rice with fried beans next to that topped with cheese and whatever else you order for your meat dish. I like the littte "rolls" of shreded beef inside of torilla's and then they cover them with avacado's, sour cream, fresh chopped tomatoes, green bits on onion and shreded cheese. TheN I take half an small bowl of their sauce for thier nacho chips and dumped that on the main dish, esp the refried beans..and not eat so many nacho's. This salad goes well with chciken dishes also. |
