Tut, tut naughty Michael! I thought you and I weren't going to argue anymore?

You know Mike I can always see when you've been copying material from another website because the spelling is always correct (not something that we have the pleasure of in your posts lol). I know you will say, I am just being lazy on the keyboard, but I have to delete what you posted. Please do not copy material from other websites....grrrgh and double grrrrgh Mike! lol

Now for anybody wanting to read what Mike posted the information can be seen at the following link

Just so that Mike gets to see his edited post

eemmm! i think I'll take offense at that comment Ron! I have always posted and contributed both to the images and forums on this site and I know you and I have 'different' political veiws but my comments and posts have always been constructive, good natured or funny. I have enjoyed 'banter' with the guys and girls on the site and now I must take my bow and in my usual gentlemanly way wish all the POE members well in the future, please view the link below as its a condition close to me. Best wishes to you all. Mike

You have previously told me Mike (and I will find it in the forum threads here to prove the point to all) that you were just being lazy on the keyboard (your words) and so I tried to turn it into a funny for us all as usual! Sorry if you are offended, it wasn't intended that way.

The reference to being a 'lazy' typer Mike going back to 2010. See http://www.picturesofengland.com/forum/England_Travel_Experiences/4030/2

As I said, just trying to be funny and without it the banter is gone.

Okay....back to topic - Aspartame.  Years ago, Equal was our go-to artificial sweetener until I stopped using it and noticed that I no longer had headaches.  I switched to Splenda which is probably no better, but I'm still in the process of weaning my taste buds off the need for sweetness.  I'm now on the threshold of making a decision to stop drinking diet sodas altogether because most of them contain Aspartame as a sweetener.  I have to make these lifestyle changes one at a time, you know.  As to alternative sweeteners, given a choice between a chemically created or altered substance or something like honey or agave nectar/syrup or even "real" maple syrup, I feel it is much healthier to go with one of the latter.  When you break it all down, everything you eat becomes sugar (glucose) once digested by our bodies, and glucose is our primary fuel.  Refined sugars are empty calories that will make you fat and rot your teeth.  But I also feel that moderation is the key.  A little maple syrup now and again won't kill you.  As a pre-diabetic, I have learned that it's not sugar in the form of sweets that we must avoid or reduce, but take all carbohydrates in appropriate, moderate amounts, even the "good" carbs.  I highly recommend agave nectar as a sweetener for cold drinks as well as hot, and it works well for baking too.  It is a low glycemic food so has a minimal impact on your blood glucose levels.  Boo Hiss to the corporations that continually try to kill us from within with their toxic chemicals.  Support your local farmer - eat local, eat fresh!  (Stepping down from soap box).

I became a vegetarian, limited my sugar, and cut my carbs and I dropped 15 pounds in less than two months...without excercise!!

It's amazing how your diet affects your health!
