Hi to all, and many thanks to those who are trying to keep this great website and forum alive by making a donation.

I don't think I have ever seen such wonderful written support for POE here in the forums, but please do keep it up because it's the only way that POE can survive it's current financial crisis.

I think Chris and Sarah deserve credit for personally funding it for the past 10 years, along with the endless number of hours that they spend in keeping it going.

Over to you members and thank you, again!

I just sent in my donation. I did have to think about it, as we are going to be helping our niece and her little family with the medical bills for Lydia that are mounting up fast; but I enjoy POE so much, I knew I had to help out, even if it is a little bit.

How much is 15 franks ..in dollars...and what's your snail mail addy Ron...I make it an policy to not user my computer to do buisness because of people hi-jacking into it. the latest "scam" goin on is gas station attendents with some kind of "reader"..they caught an guy from Cuba two days ago...they read off the credita card numbre before inserting into the gas station pump...then take the credit card home and buy stuff off Craig's list/eBay...and resesll it.  The guy the other day had the identities of five other people he was using. If you'll give me that information again...might send you something though by mail. Person they caught two days ago..... was working downtown Portland. He promised when caught to pay his fines, make resitituion and to be an good citizen from now on...ahem...let's hope so.

Looks like we are all pretty well here from the May 21 so called "rapture" event.  To think that one person spent thier life savings of $140,000 for billboards to call out the "Day of Judgement" of all things. I could do so much with that kind of money right now. So it goes back to the bible...and no man shall know the day or hour ofthe Lord's calling...in so many words...still applies.

I have both grandkids here...one was in an musical production with the Scouts last night and the other one came in to spend the weekend with me as I'm having an bit of health concern...she must be an "healer" too... as it all went away. Hope everyone's day is going well as can be.I'm going to try making some Eggplant Parmesan Hoagies here pretty soon...got everyting but the Pesto Sauce and I think I can make that perhaps...161 calories per sandwhich. I need to talk to Diana on what constitutes the number of Carbohydrates to be considered "Low Carb"....but if any of you know the answer... let me know please....good to see you back Cathyml.

I think you mean British Pound Sterling, Shirley and not Francs.

I believe about $25.00 would be close to £15.00. I looked it up on Google, but I'm sure Ron, Chris or Sarah can tell you  for sure.

I use Paypal, and have used it for many years with no problems. Just so you know. But if you're not comfortable then snail mail will work just as well.

Could we use snail mail? And if so, is a money order ok? I'm not crazy about using Pay Pal, but I want to contribute. Smile

Good day, everybody.  Just popped in for a few minutes.  Yes, lovely to see you, Krissy.  Hope you're all having a lovely Sunday.

You were right, Sue.  Today's exchange is $24.35 for £15.  It's about $1.63 for £1.  The first time we went to England in 2007, it was $2 a pound.
