After flying home to move my parents out of the home they lived in for 60 years, I vowed I would not 'collect', and thus won't have much to pass on or leave around for my boys (and their future families). I'm wearing my mum's wedding ring right now, that is one thing I kept after her death. It's going to be a good day, I can feel it in my bones. I hope you're going to have a good day too.

I take good care of it and treasure the memories it brings. My daughter is beginning to do the same. Nice to see that family connection in her. |

Plus another thing she had was an pair of ear rings my mother in-law had given her before my hubby and I were ever married..I don't even have that much from her..now passed on.....just some of the stuff went out the door. All gone. My sister knew when my great Aunt Katherine passed on that I couldn't afford to go down there an retreive any of her stuff...she collected "Irish Belek" tea cups...so my sister went out that Christmas an found me an true Irish Belek candlestick holder, in an unusual design...the lady at the jewerly shop said it would be worth more as time goes on and its stamped and dated also. To kind of keep the thought of our family together some I guess. I had given my sister an hand sewn needlepoint heart pendant...with my mother and dad's wedding picture in it...that went out the door also...and believe me...it was an pricey item...I had to in those days go to an photographer to have the picture re-sized to fit in the heart and have it changed from black and white to tones of beige and brown to compliment the aged look of the pendenat's needlpoint work...it was also 14 Kt. Gold. So goes as they say..can't do anything about it now. I kept an little tea cup my friend had given me in high school many years ago...45 or so. I don't even see her any more..but I've got the cup. It's not worth much either...but we were still "kids" back then an money was hard to come by...still is in ways. It is an sunny day today....and it makes me feel good you read my posts...though even somedays they astound even me in length. I don' t know if the "meds" have anything to do with the anxiety I'm in somedays or not. I'm going to have to go in there and explain to my doctor that somedays I get up in the morning and every time I put my foot down on the floor walking..doesn't matter which one...I have an "nerve" feeling like an guitar string "vibration"..but not every day...that's why I think I have nerve problems yet from the "shingles" in December as an aftermath of them. Supposedly this pencillin vk for the dental work should help that also...I suppose if I was an doctor...it would sound weird.. All this is yet coming up in the next week or so. I'm anxious this time around about dealing with it all. I have this "want" to escape it all...health probelms and the expense of it. Instead.... I'll work at finding somethng to take my mind off things and it's about all I can do right now. With that...I best get going...and it was good to share my time with you all this morning...have an good day everyone! I'll await James pictures of his yard work...and hope he has an inter-satisfaction from seeing his accomplishment also.Do remember our Lord was found in an garden ..so they must be special in some way...to creation and "life". |

I almost finished my garden yesterday, but left a patch of weeding that needs to be done yet. Maybe tomorrow will be nicer weather for it. My poor cats are shivering looking out the screen door. Colder than it should be this time of year. Glad it's warm where you are, Sue. I have my work to do tonight so it will be a late night. Hope you all have a good one.

Laughs*....Have an great weekend everyone! |

I'll be hungry all night now thinking about it. Hope everyone's weekend is peaceful and relaxing. |
