Yeah okay thanks Dave just tied up with things to do, not just for us, but the neighbours needed a bit of help too. At 79 and 80 years they aren't able to do things quite so easily as me. Huh, that's a laugh I'm nearly knackered myself! lol

No thanks James...on the relatives...all my dad's side are gone now and all them on my mom's side are gone now and it's going into my in-law's in this generation here lately...I was never raised near my relatives for the most part you know...they were 3,000 miles away...I am not sure I know how to deal with them. This getting together after the funeral is for the "pits" and my brother and newest sister in-law got into it over the weekend on his drinking and he told  her I guess to not bother coming back..when she took off to escape his being inibriated...here soon they should be celebrating their first wedding anniversary...but he says he's giving her an "restraining order" instead...he learned that from his second wife. Kind of getting rediculuose these days.

In the meantime I went to the store and found my winter "chili" at nearly an dollar for 2 cups of it canned...that's maybe enough to top four "Hot Dogs"  So I've been gathering up my canning equiptment and buying "restruant" sized 5 pound cans to make my own. So farI have 20 pounds of cans for my "base" receipe.. one.of chili con carni without beans...two cans 5 lbs each) of kidney beans, one of diced tomatoes, 3 pounds of roasted frozen corn with black beans, and peppers, about 1/3 an sack of 10 pounds of onions to dice in it and four more green peppers and some small cans of black beans from last year's pantry and extra spices...I'm doing this out in my driveway on the propane BBQ....I'm adding more to it to make closer to 24 quarts. I figure if anyone wants to add anything to it after it's open.... they can fry up some hamburger for it. But it's at industrial sized food preparation almost. My canner will do 7 quarts at an time.If I can do three batches of it...that would give me 21 quarts...and I'd be happy...but will see how things go...it will be about 4 oen half hours to process the jars.  I might make it an bit more liquid then an thick chili so we can put it over cornbread when those days turn cold or snowy later on...but Chili is good even if it's just an cold rain going on all day long. So...if you don't see me the next couple of days...that's what I'll be doing. Fear not...I will return!........ Got my smaller envelopes last night for the POE Post-letters....of an sort....everyone having "back to school" stationary sales around here...I could not find post cards...so I'm goig to tear out the perforated cooking receipes in some of my small Pillsbury Cookbooklets and send them along with an message...see you at the POE "pot-luck" some day!!!...until then...drop in and let us know what your up to these days....we're missing YOU..love an huggies!!!  Shirley...or something to that effect.

There was an hurricane headed towards Florida...but haven't seen the details for today to see if they named it "Emily" or not.

My son drops off his construction equiptment  he's hauling tomarrow south of San Deigo, California...picks up something else to bring back, and heads to Oregon again. When I talked to him, he said it was 100 degrees outside down there. He's suppose to be back here by Saturday. I dreamed everything that is happening around my life right now serveral months ago, to one year ago....I wonder what's "up"....I think they call it De ja vue....and I can't remember enough of what I picked up to see if there was some kind of trauma event in it. Took my sister shopping today also. We could all stand to see our health pick up an bit around these parts. I have something to tell you about the post on the Native American Ritual I found out that was one of an betrothal...it seems the lay out was for numerous other things as well, and will relate an interesting aspect of it..but not tonight. I'm tired, it was an long day of running here and there for me.You all take care...I'll bring the chili to the "Pub" someday guys..... so you have NEED of an "frosty" cold one. Just don't divorce your wife over it,  heh?

Good morning Ron...where all the gals go?....you guys chased them off or something?....when I got my black and white kitty...he was my all "baby" in the house....and when the newest "purple" cat came along...she is younger....and we use to have to watch him so he wasn't to rough acting with her....now she's about his size...and she takes off across the room and lunges full weight on top of  him and grabs his neck, throws him over sideways and they do this "patty pawing" at each other for an bit...but he gets up and with wide big yellow green eyes... looks at me like "What'd  I do?" Now I'm am having to yell at her sometimes to "leave him alone". Yet she won't go outside unless he's with her,..... and he won't come inside unless she's with him..... Such is cat life around these parts! ... Wonder what Diana would do?

I'm starting another thread on this article I wanted to relate to you all...Have an Good Day!
