To do it yourself you would need to buy a scanner. these plug into the PC and are fairly simple to operate. If you dont want that hassle you need to find a shop, photo or otherwise, that offers a digitising service if there is such a word but their charges can be quite high, I think the likes of Jacobs and Jessops maybe offer the service I think you may need to come back on the Quizzy and tell people who he is....we don't seem to be getting very far with him:( |

Are you using Windows 7 and Photo Story 3 - I also have heaps of old photos I want to digitize, then I must get something to read the slides and old negatives! |

Best option is a normal home/smalloffice scanner but make sure it has the ability to allow slides and negs to be scanned. you can get these over here for round the £100 + mark. you just need to read the blurb about them Karen, depending what OS you run...XP...Vista....7 you will be able to download the required drivers for the scanner unless ofcourse you have the original installation disc. Just do a GOOGLE search for whatever make and model scanner you have..........something like .....'Epson ABC123 drivers' and you will get loads of links just need to open one or two and follow the instructions, sounds alot more complicated than it is..... |

My greatest hobby is collecting comic books and comic character related items. I’m a collector for more than 35 years and my collection includes more than 35,000 items (books, articles, stamps, toys, posters, catalogs, etc). Strolling around on boot fairs and in 2e hand shops and bookstores is a part of this hobby. And of course organizing and ordering the collection. |
