She'll cope ok. She can't hear them cos she's deaf as a post and she won't see them cos she's curled up asleep on the bed in the spare room next to me and the computer

 Glad to hear she will be ok, we have had three cats over the years and have seen them really frightened by fireworks. not too keen on them myself since I caught pnemonia after a firework display back in the early 80's

To be honest we don't usually bother. For a few years recently  have been in bed well before midnight. Been there, done it, got several t-shirts. At the end of it all it's only another day. . . . But as Anne is at work and I'm playing POE I'll see the new year in you guys
