I'm getting caught up here..took out some time to see the movie "War Horse"...you know I missed it when it first came out..but I see now that it's quite an adult movie in an way with themes to it that only an adult could understand. It's still an excellent watch though. It reminded me of something...when I wanted my Sunday's off at the store I worked and they were cornering me into an position that it  was bend to their will or quit. Which I found out later on that is why the Federal Government was willing to back me up so gladly...they apparently have an reputation doing this kind of thing from an long time ago. But anyway...I had went into the Grocery Dept to see if I could find my old boss that hired me....because the union was not doing a thing...they knew me from an job previously where I was the supervisor...not the worker...and they were willing to cut my throat just to see the blood run..albeit..they ignored my pleases for help, they were always busy doing something else to return my calls or to give me the help I needed,...they wanted me to quit also..I was less then 15 days away from beinging an pension plan having worked there for 5 years.  I told my freind that was an PIC at Kmart..what was getting pulled off on me...she told me that the store had likewise done about the same thing to her, forced her to quit.. always brought in an "new" supervisor with "new" rules one after the other, her schedules were what they were so she could go daily and get shots for "MS"...something I will never forget...they always picked on women that needed their jobs also for the most part. So I went into the Grocery section...and was looking around for my old boss...and that's when something very dramatic happened to me...I was just thinking how helpless I was and how I was being subjected to the harassment of others. I stood there and for some reason listened to what sounded like the "screams" of an trillion billion people through time... that had died or been tortured, or hurt by others. It is an sound I still have not forgotten. Implanted in my miind afterwards was the three kids thrown into the fire to die...and down sent the Lord with an Angel to save them from it...Shadrack, Benigal and and another one. That's when I said...I can't bow down to an "Godlen God" and that's what retail is all about...that's what banks are all about....money....remember when Jesus overturned the tables of the "money changers"..ah yes. So I felt if he could die so horribly at the hands of "authority" why should I be any less, and give into them...I should be following him and his example. That's when several days later an man came in with an long white beard came in an tlaked to me daily and I todl him then, that I'd probably not be seen someday soon, he told me that it was his "calling" to serve the Lord as he had in lifetime...and many months later...I would be sent his picture....as my hubby's grandfather. He also as an church representative was given an altimatem during his life....the one about "slavery" and as they said..."Let it be to each man's consicious" to do what is right before the sight of God...it also closed down their church association for the "civil war" and in part, I understand that "regulators" simliar to an vigilant group today...hung his brother because  they were pro-slavery..later on. as Easter comes tomarrow to my house...I wonder if there's any hope ever for humanity to be responsible and decent acting toward each other and the planet in general...or if that's the only thing in life that's certain...it's persecutions by someone in some way.

  A memory question

I am wondering how many members can remember the poem which Chris wrote "The Path", Ron e mailed me the words which I printed out alongside a picture of a local leafy path and inserted it in my Family History Book.

There was another one about Scarecrows referring to a picture of a Scarecrow uploaded by Stephanie.

Now waiting for a third poem!!!!!

Hi James, good to see you back here this morning.

Peggy...Dove sent me an poem one time...it's called Petition in Faith...by Roxie Lusk Smith.

When problems rise up...to bog and depress...And your spirit gives way to dispare...When your mind is an vent...To an burden's intent...And your lips can't give voice to a prayer...

Turn away from the thoughts...That cause you distress...They hinder the self in repair...Trust God to provide...What the heartstrings confide...With assurance your still in his care.

Good day everyone..it's turning out an nice one here...and it makes me feel alive also...got the furniture moved back from Easter...the carpet spot cleaned and now need to go get some red apples...as my room needs them to balance the color in it. Kittycats are all over playing and chasing each other...feeling their "oats" also I guess. Nice to be able to open windows and let the fresh air inside too.... Have an good day everyone!.

Hi there everyone! I do hope you have all had a wonderful Easter weekend :-)

If memory serves me correctly (and it probably doesn't)  I think there was a thread with the poems in it.

Yes, there was a thread.

Remember our lovely Harry Wheeler? He was a good poet. So sad that he has gone on to the world beyond. Our time with him was so short.
