So HAPPY CELEBRATIONS to all of you. Family. Food. Fun. Fireworks. Have an f'ing good day. |

Had nothing to do to much of the people you disliked..it was more about the politcs of life and living. While your sending kind thoughts our way..I'm sending thoughts to New Zealand...who lucked out this time in the recent earthquake from so much destruction because it was an really deep quake...still started out an 7.1 and was reduced to an 6.2..near Wellington. We talk to an lady lives in New Zealand...she said they really shook. First time in all the years we have been married that we were almost by ourselves today...and work we did...my grand-daughter came over last night. I just left hubby whom fell alseep sitting up on the sofa, watching news He hauled I'd say close to 6 pickup loads of apple tree limbs off to the burn pile..while I cooked most the morning, cleaned house and an host of other things...plus tried to help him an bit. Do I ever have an right foot problem going on right now. It is perhaps telling me to slow down an bit? I go a couple steps and my ankle wants to go out on me. Fireworks at 9:30 pm...water front Portland Blues Concert has the area packed with people...fun raiser for the Food Bank....fireworks later on. I made hamburgers today....and we had BBQ Ribs, greean salad with tomaotes and pepper slices, corn off the cob...but tasted like it was on the cob...potato salad, dinner rolls, fresh fruit, ice cream, icey cold beer for the landscaper guy, and potatoe chips...we kept him well fed all day long.. and still haven't touched the apple pie or watermellon. My kids right now are over near here with an gal she works with and has known for an long time... BBQ-ing there...so I'm not into the big tadoo this Holiday. The big tadoo..is the backyard...we have until July 23 to basically work on it pretty much...before Scout Camp comes up for this year. So I go,we will enjoy the fireworks tonight up by Sandy most likley...back to work tomarrow. I gave my July 4th message in the web site of earthboppin.net under the board...dreams, prophecy... and such board.....they know me as Kemokae. |

The best part - it was overcast all day, only reached about 93° F and we even had a gentle rain shower in the afternoon. First measurable rain since about February. We need rain desperately. Come on El Niño!

Kabobs typically have meat, but are just a bunch of cut up anything (veggies, chunks of meat) cooked on the grill on a skewer, and usually basted with some type of sauce or dressing, like Italian salad dressing or steak sauce. Brown sauce would probably be good on them. Grilling is a very healthy way to prepare food. For our kabobs we had green peppers, red onions, yellow squash and huge fresh mushrooms. Very yummy! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bratwurst BTW, we too have plenty of brats (rhymes with rats) over here too. lol
